Sarah Beeson Advances to Runoff, Leads Field

Roswell City Council candidate Sarah Beeson has advanced to the December 6th runoff after securing 43% of the vote. Other opponents in the race earned 26%, 21%, and 10% of votes, respectively.

Although Sarah won an overwhelming majority of the votes at 26 out of all 28 voting precincts in Roswell, Georgia law requires a candidate to secure more than 50% of the votes in order to win the race outright. Therefore, Sarah will be competing in a runoff election against the candidate with the next highest amount of votes.

Early voting will begin Saturday, November 26th and run through Friday, December 2nd. Election Day —and the last opportunity to vote — in the runoff election will be Tuesday, December 6th. The Roswell City Council race will be on the same ballot at the runoff race for the United States Senate.
